Pacgen Biopharmaceuticals Corporation is a life sciences company focused on the development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases.
The Company’s lead product, PAC-113, is an anti-fungal in a Phase II program for the treatment of oral Candidiasis. Pacgen recently reported positive results for PAC-113 and initiated a Phase IIb in November 2007. The Company expects to receive the results for this Phase IIb study in mid 2008.We also have an early stage research program focused on a peptide therapeutic, PAC-G31P, which is being investigated in preclinical studies for its potential to treat inflammatory disease.
Pacgen holds the rights to 20 patents and 17 patent applications in the United States and other jurisdictions relating to products in their development pipeline.
Pacgen was founded in 2004 and listed on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange in December 2006 under the symbol TSX-V:PGA. The Company raised CDN $7M in its initial public offering to support the advancement of its programs. The Company’s operating facility is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
