Pacgen Biopharmaceuticals Corporation is a life science technology transfer company focused on the commercial development of novel therapeutic drug candidates up to Phase II, proof of concept efficacy in humans.
The Company identifies and sources innovative therapeutic drug candidates globally, and develops these drug candidates in accordance to the United States Food and Drug Administration regulatory standards to feed the product development pipelines of the pharmaceuticals industry.
The Company’s lead product, PAC-113, is an anti-fungal in a Phase II program for the treatment of oral Candidiasis. Pacgen recently reported positive efficacy results from its Phase IIb dose-ranging clinical trial of PAC-113. Pacgen also has an early stage research program. The most advanced candidate is a peptide therapeutic, PAC-G31P, which is being investigated in preclinical studies for its potential to treat inflammatory disease.
Pacgen holds the rights to 29 patents and 32 patent applications in the United States and other jurisdictions relating to products in its development pipeline.
Pacgen was founded in 2004 and listed on the Toronto Venture Stock Exchange in December 2006 under the symbol TSX-V:PGA. The Company’s operating facilities are located in Vancouver, British Columbia and Toronto, Ontario in Canada.
